It’s that time again: we’re getting ready for the next Creative Garden at Seed HQ on October 31st, as part of LCB Depot’s Design Season 1. Bridging the gap between creative study and creative employment, the Creative Garden is a one-day workshop for students, supported by a raft of professionals and associated organisations.

People chatting and laughing at the event

At Seed, the very core of our business is our ever-flourishing network of creative professionals, otherwise known as our creative family. We’ve called upon a selection of our contacts, from various fields such as photography, fashion and technology, to deliver inspiring and informative guest talks, providing attendees with an insight into making the daunting leap from learner to professional.

Learners read marketing materials and make notes at the stand of one of our creative professionals

For the event, the Seed Creative Academy is transformed into a creative marketplace, giving the attending students an opportunity to talk to a range of organisations offering support and advice for their creative aspirations. The space becomes a hub of energy and opportunity; we see ideas grow and journeys begin.

It’s a brilliant, lively experience, and we’re confident that events like these have a huge, positive economic impact on the developing creative industries sector in Leicester, given the essential networking links that have been established for learners. These links are within critical areas of progression such as internships, placements, funding, workspace availability and volunteering opportunities.

It’s free to attend so we hope to see you there!
